All About Secret Nature Delta 8 — How It’s Made, What It Feels Like, & More - Secret Nature

You might not have heard of delta 8 before. Or, maybe you have, but you’ve only heard the bad things highlighted by news stories.

The truth is that delta 8 is just like any other cannabinoid. It’s naturally found in Cannabis sativa even though it’s usually converted from isolated CBD.

It’s also true, though, that a lot about delta 8 is unprecedented. There has never been an analog of THC widely available in the general market, leading to regulatory concerns that have sparked outright panic in some cases.

We’re here to cut through all the confusion and deliver the details you need to know about delta 8 THC. Learn where this new cannabinoid comes from, how it is used, and how it will make you feel.

What is delta 8 THC?

Delta 8 THC is almost exactly the same as delta 9 THC. The chemical structures of these cannabinoids differ just enough, though, to be classified as different substances for legal and regulatory purposes.

There isn’t enough science to be sure how the effects of delta 8 compare to those of delta 9 THC, the more conventional form of tetrahydrocannabinol. Based on customer reviews and other forms of anecdotal testimony, though, it appears delta 8 operates as a sort of toned-down form of delta 9 THC in the body.

Where does delta 8 THC come from?

Delta 8 THC is a cannabinoid, which means it's naturally found in cannabis. Like almost every cannabinoid, however, delta 8 is only present in cannabis in lamentably small concentrations.

Recently, efforts have begun to breed forms of cannabis that naturally contain high concentrations of delta 8 THC. It will be quite some time, however, before delta eight THC concentrations rivaling those of CBD or delta 9 THC become available.

— So, how is delta 8 THC made? —

Right now, the vast majority of delta eight THC on the market is created by converting CBD. Once isolated, it’s relatively simple to change a few chemical bonds and make CBD into a different cannabinoid.

It’s also possible to create delta 8 THC from CBG, and it’s likely that even further forms of delta 8 synthesis will be devised. What’s a fact, though, is that natural delta 8 is the way of the future.

Is delta 8 THC synthetic?

Some forms of delta 8 are synthetic, but not in the sense that knock-off weed drugs like Spice and K2 are synthetic. While those substances are created solely from non-cannabis materials, delta 8 only comes from cannabis — even if it’s tweaked a little bit along the way.

“Synthetic” doesn’t necessarily need to be a trigger word. After all, synthesis is a natural chemical process that occurs all around us every day — it’s just that when human beings get involved, things tend to get messy.

Delta 8 is an example of synthesis you don’t need to worry about. While some delta eight manufacturers may use dangerous or inferior processes, delta 8 remains all-natural even when it’s converted from another cannabinoid.

What makes Secret Nature Delta 8 different?

We don’t want to give you the wrong idea. Just because delta 8 is inherently all natural does not mean that all delta 8 products on the market are equally safe.

In fact, most delta 8 is so nasty you’d be forgiven for thinking the entire cannabinoid had something wrong with it. Seeing this sorry state of the market, we decided to correct the situation with the alpha and omega of delta 8.

Secret Nature Super Spectrum contains naturally high concentrations of both delta 8 and THCV as the result of selective breeding. Secret Nature Delta 8, on the other hand, contains the same base plant matter as Super Spectrum but with added delta 8 isolate.

That’s when it comes to our pre-rolls, at least. Secret Nature Super 8 vape cartridges, on the other hand, feature a base of raw-nectar cannabis extract combined with delta 8 isolate and cannabis terpenes to deliver a vaping experience that’s consistent with the Secret Nature mission.

Delta 8 might be very new and slightly sketchy right now, but we took the same approach to our delta 8 products that we use with everything we make at Secret Nature. Starting with all-natural, organic, indoor-grown hemp flower, we make a variety of end products that all stay true to our connoisseur roots and top-shelf quality pledge.

Is delta 8 THC safe?

The safety of delta eight has less to do with its inherent properties and more to do with how it is made. Science hasn’t even fully established the safety of delta 9 THC yet, but we know enough to have some confidence that no cannabinoid in the THC family will usually cause any severe side effects.

Whenever there is a rush to buy something, there are plenty of people who suddenly appear offering it. There is no guarantee each of them will offer the same product quality, though.

Secret Nature is different. We deliver the natural benefits of delta eight with as few obstacles between you and the cannabinoid as possible. There’s no need to add artificial ingredients or hide what’s in your products.

What does delta 8 THC feel like?

Surprise, surprise. Delta 8 THC feels a lot like delta 9 THC.

Some people say, though, that delta 8 feels less intoxicating. Also, it’s a fact that delta 8 THC interacts with your nervous system slightly differently from delta 9, so delta 8 could potentially bypass THC tolerance.

Does delta 8 THC make you high?

We suppose that depends on your definition of the word “high.” Even in its delta 9 form, THC is far less intoxicating than many other psychoactive substances, and its effects become less profound once a tolerance is established.

Delta 8 is chemically distinct from delta 9, but remember that we’re dealing with two cannabinoids in the tetrahydrocannabinol family. THCA doesn’t get you high, but that’s because it's a carboxylic acid, not a cannabinoid.

Every other cannabinoid starting with “THC” has similar effects. You won’t suddenly think you’re in Oz, but you won’t quite be in Kansas anymore, either.

What is the best way to use delta 8 THC?

Cannabis consumers the world over are starting to recognize that inhalation is the best way to ingest cannabinoids. Sure, orally ingested products also have their time and place, but as with other cannabinoids, smoking or vaping is the best way to use delta 8 THC.

With this ingestion method, you experience fast-acting effects that profoundly uplift your mood. If you orally ingested your delta eight THC instead, it could take up to an hour to kick in, and its effects wouldn’t be anywhere near as strong.

What is the best delta 8 THC product?

Secret Nature Delta 8 pre-rolls and vape cartridges take the benefits of delta 8 THC and rid them of the detractors put in place by inferior brands. Nobody knows exactly how delta 8 will play out, but we’re confident that Secret Nature offers the ultimate quality when it comes to hand-crafted, organic, and indoor-grown delta 8 THC products that ship fast and free to all 50 states.
