Our Testing Standards

Secret Nature has published lab results since day one. We use ISO 17025-accredited laboratories and test every production batch — not just a sample from one run. If a batch doesn't pass, it doesn't ship.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document from an independent, accredited laboratory that verifies the contents of a product. For hemp and cannabis products, a COA confirms cannabinoid potency, terpene profiles, and the absence of contaminants like pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, and microbials. Every Secret Nature product has a corresponding COA available for download on this page.

Are Secret Nature products third-party tested?

Yes. Every Secret Nature product is tested by independent, ISO 17025-accredited third-party laboratories. We never rely on in-house testing. Our lab partners have no financial relationship with Secret Nature beyond providing unbiased analytical testing services.

How often does Secret Nature test its products?

Every single production batch is tested before it ships. We do not sell any product without a passing COA on file. This applies to all flower, vapes, pre-rolls, gummies, and capsules.

What does Secret Nature test for?

We run full panel testing on every batch, which includes: cannabinoid potency (CBD, THCA, THC, CBG, CBN, and minor cannabinoids), complete terpene profiles, pesticide screening (60+ compounds), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium), residual solvents, and microbial contaminants (mold, yeast, E. coli, salmonella).

How do I read a COA?

A COA will show the product name, batch number, testing date, and laboratory name at the top. The cannabinoid section shows potency levels (look for total CBD or THCA percentage). The contaminant sections will show "Pass" or "ND" (not detected) for pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, and microbials. If any section shows "Fail," that batch did not meet safety standards — Secret Nature never ships failed batches.

Is Secret Nature hemp pesticide-free?

Yes. All Secret Nature flower is grown indoors without the use of pesticides and every batch is independently verified through third-party pesticide screening. Our COAs confirm zero detected pesticide residues across all tested compounds.

Why does lab testing matter for CBD and THCA products?

The hemp industry is largely self-regulated, which means not all brands test their products — and even fewer publish results publicly. Independent lab testing protects consumers by verifying that what's on the label matches what's in the product, and that it's free of harmful contaminants. Publishing full panel COAs for every batch is the gold standard for transparency in the hemp industry, and Secret Nature has done this since our founding.
